When I was told by the University Headquarters that I was to conduct the Training for Trainers this last weekend of July at another City, I almost backed out. Well for one, I am up to my neck with things to prepare for an international event next month! Aside of course from the regular weekly weddings I’m handling! aaaaaaahhhhg!
But I was one of the few trainers qualified to handle such a training in our country, and there weren’t any other trainers available for this date… aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh
ok ok then! So for the first time in my life, I was rushing through packing my luggage at the last minute (dumping anything I can find in my closet into my bag) while turning over everything to my assistant and answering phone calls from suppliers and clients… just a few hours before I was due to leave. Then while I was at the boat, I was still emailing and going thru the training manuals and refreshing myself of the training course at hand.
This was going to be a long 3-day stay-in training program. hhhhmmmm I was expecting to be really stressed and tired after. Considering that training really drains me of everything..mentally and physically! Oh well, this is it!
But when I got out from the car at the training venue… my whole outlook about this training totally changed! the first thing I heard was the lapping of the waves on the shore! and the cool sea breeze was a welcome respite after the smog of the city!
This is bliss! We were staying at a beach resort! ha! I love it!
Now as I sit here at the balcony of my cottage and pound at my computer keys, I stare at the horizon where the stars meet the sea and I say WOW! This is life!
I love trainings!
